Hi guys! It’s my turn again and we’ve gotten a lot done since I last posted.

Demo Level

I’ve finished a demo level that I’ll keep refining. My goal was to help the player to learn how high they can jump by making a series of jumps that you can only make if you hold down jump for your entire ascent. It’s fun to experiment in level design and learn more about what makes great games tick.

New SFX

I’ve also been working to replace our placeholder SFX with work we can call our own, that better represents the animation and style of our game. I started work on the dash you can do when you equip the castanets. I made a couple of variants you’ll get to hear later. It’s always good to put in variations of sounds that player are going to hear a lot!

New MUSIC

And last, but certainly not least, I’ve got a rough draft of some new music for the cave so we can test out what musical layers you’ll hear while exploring the cave! There are eight tracks in this example, and you’ll be able to hear different combinations depending on what you’ve unlocked in the level.
