This month, I’ve continued to make more sound effects and finish even more of the cave. Things are really starting to come together! My favorite thing that we’re still refining are the music tines.
The music tines play pitches that fit in the key (*on most chords, this is the part we’re still refining) and they make a little dampened noise if you try to jump on one, but you jump offbeat. I used a ring modulator and shortened the note-length to make the deadened noise. It felt good to pull out one of the tricks I learned working with synthesizers!
